When you fill in information in forms on a web site, the information is kept by Apple Safari’s AutoFill feature. This feature is good as it automatically fills the data when you revisit that web page. But this feature is vulnerable to web attacks by hackers. You can disable this feature by following these simple steps :
- Run Apple Safari. On the top-right side, you would see a settings gears like icon. Click on it and select Preferences as shown
- In the Preferences window, select the AutoFill tab.
- Under the AutoFill tab, un-check all the checkboxes as shown,
- Close the Preferences window.
Alternatively, you can press the keyboard combination Ctrl + , to open the Preferences window.
