The modern Start Menu (as compared to the classic style) shows shortcuts of most often used programs. The most often used program is shown on the top and the least used program is shown on the bottom. If you want you can clear the list of these most often used programs. Clearing of this list removes the shortcuts from the most often (or recently) used programs list in the Start Menu. Here is how :
- Right-click on the Start Menu and select Properties from the right-click menu.
- In the window titled Taskbar and Start Menu Properties click on the Customize button.
- In the window titled Customize Start Menu click on the Clear List button.
- Close all the open windows by clicking on the OK button.
