Depending on your system’s power settings, your computer may got to into the sleep or the standby mode if you leave it idle for some amount of time. By default, it would be required for you to type in the account password before you can start using it again. If you do not supply the correct password, your computer stays locked. You may not like this feature and want to disable the password entering requirements each time your system goes into sleep or standby mode. Do not worry, you can easily disable this password requirement on waking up. Here is how :
- Press the key combination Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type powercfg.cpl in the Run dialog and press Enter to open the Power Options window.
- In the Power Options window, click on Require a password on wakeup on the left side
- Choose Don’t require a password from the options and click on Save Changes
Now you do not have to enter any password when your computer wakes up from sleep or when it is locked.
