Clear Cache for Current Domain Only in Internet Explorer 9

When you browse the internet in your web browser, the downloaded files are locally stored on your hard disk for quick access. This temporary storage of web site files on your hard disk is called cache. We all know how to clear browser cache. But when you clear the browser cache in Internet Explorer, it removes files for all web sites. What if you want to remove cache only for the currently open web site? Here is how to clear cache only for the currently open domain in Internet Explorer 9 :

  1. Visit the web site in Internet Explorer for which you want to clear browser cache.
  2. Click on the gear like icon on the top-right of Internet Explorer window and select Developer Tools from the drop-down list. Alternatively, you can also press the F12 key on your keyboard.

  3. In the Developer Tools window, select Cache → Clear browser cache for this Domain from the menubar as shown. Alternatively, you can also press te keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D.

  4. You will be asked for confirmation. Click on Yes to proceed clearing the cache for the current domain and it will be cleared.
