Creating God Mode Folder in Windows 10

Some of the tricks and features keep working in Windows versions for years to come. What was discovered as God Mode in Windows 7 by an enthusiast has kept working in later versions of Windows including Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and now it works in Windows 10 too. If you do not already know, God Mode is a special folder that contains shortcuts to a huge number of settings in Windows. Overall number of settings in the God Mode folder in Windows 10 is around 233 which is less than the 254 number of settings in the God Mode of Windows 7. This is perhaps because Microsoft has removed many of the settings from the Control Panel like automatic updates in the Windows 10.

So here is a quick way to create the God Mode folder in Windows 10:

  1. Download the god-mode-windows10.zip file to your Windows desktop.
  2. Extract the God Mode folder from this zip archive to your Windows desktop or anywhere in your PC.Windows 10 God Mode
  3. That’s it. Now you have God Mode special folder, you can open it and access 233 settings from one single place.Windows 10 God Mode

An alternate way to create the God Mode special folder is by creating any new folder on your hard disk (preferably in an easily accessible location like on the desktop) and renaming it to GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. This folder’s name will automatically get shortened to GodMode and its icon will change.

The God Mode is a special folder in Windows that contains shortcuts to hundreds of important settings that might be otherwise very difficult to locate in Windows. And it is very easy to create in Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and now in Windows 10.
