World’s most popular search engine Google is rolling out a new feature that makes it very easy to search for the content stored in your Gmail messages or in the Google Photos right from the main Google Search website. This feature is being called Personal search. But this feature is not yet available to all the people in the world. At the time of posting this article, it is available only to the people located in the US region but will be made available to everyone in the forthcoming weeks. Here is how you can use the new Personal search in Google:
- Visit Google Search (https://www.google.com/) in desktop or mobile web browser and log in to your Google account. You will have to log in to Google account so that it can search for your personal content.
- Search for any keyword or phrase in Google Search website.
- When the search results appear, click on the More and then select Personal from the list of options.
- As soon as you select the Personal option, it will search through your Gmail and Photos content for the keyword and display the results under a new tab labeled Personal.
Note that the results displayed are visible only to you and nobody else can search for your personal content through this method. This feature works on both the desktop and mobile versions of the web browsers. Through this new feature you would be able to quickly search through your personal files or resources located in the Gmail or the Photos. Since this is a new feature, perhaps Google will release updates to the various apps to incorporate it in those apps. If you are not able to see this feature in Google yet, you will have to wait a few more weeks for Google to roll it out in your region.
