When it comes to PC gaming, millions of people worldwide prefer NVidia graphics cards because of their mammoth performance. But even the NVidia graphics cards come with device drivers that are designed to work with all kinds of PC usage – word processing, everyday computing and basic gaming. However if you are a PC gamer, you are not going to use their gaming rigs for typing in Microsoft Word documents. Your sole use of your gaming rig is to play computer games. In fact, when Windows 10 came out, many PC gamers decided to revert back to Windows 7 SP1 because they could play games smoother on the older version of Windows – meaning they don’t care about operating system, non-gaming apps and such – they just want to play games.
Nvidia has observed this too and now they are releasing device drivers for the Nvidia graphics cards that are optimized to play specific games – these are being called “Game Ready” drivers. These Game Ready drivers provide the best possible gaming experience for all the new major PC game releases. They also provide support for the Virtual Reality games but that would require additional hardware.
According to the Nvidia website, their driver developers work day and night to tweak the drivers for a particular game to bring about the best performance possible when you play that particular game on your PC. Of course, there are other factors that are going to matter like your hardware (other than the GPU), but using these Game Ready drivers ensures that Nvidia GPU is working at its maximum possible peak performance.
You have to install separate drivers for different games. So far they have released Game Ready drivers optimized for Star Wars – Battlefront 2, Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins. You can install these using GeForce Experience feature or by downloading them from the Nvidia website.
