Ubisoft is once again giving away older games for free. You can claim these games from your UPlay account and enjoy playing them during the holidays if you have not already played them before. This time Ubisoft is giving away the RTS (Real-time Strategy) game “World in Conflict” for PC gamers. The game was originally released back in 2007 and was available for Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Windows PC and Sony PlayStation 3. But the giveaway is available only for the PC users.
The World in Conflict game is based on many of the popular “what if” questions about cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union. What if the economic collapse of Soviet Union in 1989 resulted in the invasion of Western Europe by the USSR? What if it engulfed United States once again in a world scale war later to be named as the World War 3? In the game you can play on the American side and use the latest weapons and other technologies of 1980s. The game catapults you in various single-player missions through exciting and challenging tasks that demand a lot from you. The missions are sometimes so difficult that even the best PC gamers are not able to finish the tasks in the specified time window.
You will need a Uplay account in order to grab this free game in time. If you don’t have, then you can create one for free. After this, you can visit the giveaway web site for this game, scroll down a little and then click on the Get the Game button. The game will be added to your Uplay account, but for downloading you would need to install Uplay client in your Windows PC.
