GoodBook : Ebooks and Audiobooks for Android Smartphone

We are all familiar with Goodreads where you can find reviews of millions of books and suggestions for your style of reading. And now there is a new app called GoodBook that allows you to download and read thousands of copyright-free ebooks on your Android device. Not only you can read the ebooks, but you can also download and listen to the audiobooks. Just like the ebooks, the audiobooks are also made from the content of the books that don’t have any copyrights or their copyrights have expired. For example, all the classical literature books in English are included such as the books from Jane Austen, Bronte sisters, Charles Dickens, George Bernard Shaw, William Makepeace Thackeray etc.

As you launch the GoodBook app, it displays all the books that it recommends for you. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland are listed on top of these recommended books. If you are not interested in these, then you can explore the ebooks of your like by browsing various genres such as cookery, technology, poetry, romantic, children, ecology, crime etc. But keep in mind that all of these books are very old – so if you browse the Technology category, do not expect to find any latest technology books.

GoodBook for Android

While ebooks can be downloaded all at once, audiobooks are available in parts. You have to download one part to listen to that part and then move on to the next part. It not only saves your time and bandwidth, but you can also test if an audiobook is good enough just by listening to a small portion.

GoodBook is a very simple to use ebooks and audiobooks reader with a database of free titles available in the public domain. With a few taps on the screen, you can download classics from all over the world onto our device.
