PixiShot : Photo Manager and Viewer for Windows

PixiShot is a fast and very easy to use application for managing and viewing digital photos. The application offers the ability to sort, organize and manage your own collection of digital photos and allows you to conveniently view graphic files saved in various formats. The small image viewer has a lot of advanced tools for organizing photos – import, export, adding metadata, mass renaming files, and even converting graphic files from one format to another.

When you first launch the program, it asks you to set a default images folder where you store all of your images. You can choose any folder of your choice and the PixiShot will show the images from that folder. All the images are listed in thumbnail view as a reel near the lower edge of the PixiShot window. You can click on any of these thumbnails to view the full size images.

On the side of the full images, it displays the EXIF, IPTC and ISO data embedded inside the image files. You can edit this information as you want. From under the Tools menu, you can find options to set the images as Windows desktop wallpaper, export the images, or convert them to a different format. You can also apply a number of presets that can make some beautiful changes to your images. It comes with some basic editing features such as rotating, clipping or color resolution conversion. Good thing about PixiShot is that it preserves the original file when editing the images which makes it possible to compare changes to the original image and restore the original version of the images if needed.

PixiShot is a very efficient and fast image viewer and editor for Windows. The free version of PixiShot is limited and does not allow, among other things, to synchronize file names, automatically create a backup or return the modified image to the original image.
