Panda Dome is a well known security solution to protect your computers and other devices against the constant threat of malware. Panda provides many different versions of their antivirus product for the end users – Panda Dome free version and Panda Dome premium paid version. The VPN feature is included in both of the them with a little difference – in the free version, you cannot choose the location of the VPN server that you want to use and your data usage is capped to just 150 MB per day. But if you have bought the premium version, then you can choose a VPN server from 22 different locations spread all over the world at many convenient locations and have no restrictions on the data use. The VPN service in Panda Dome is provided by Hotspot Shield – a reputed name in the VPN business and is therefore very reliable.
Here is how you can enable VPN service in Panda Dome easily:
- Double-click on the Panda Dome icon in the notification area icon.
- Click on the VPN icon in the Panda Dome window.
- In the next window that shows up, you can simply click on the Connect button. But if you want more control, then you can first choose a VPN server location from the drop-down list before clicking on the Connect button. Without manually choosing a server, it will automatically pick a VPN server that works best for your geographic location.
Another quick way of enabling VPN in Panda Dome is from the notification area. For this, you can just right-click on the Panda Dome notification area icon and choose Enable VPN from there.
But this method does not give you any control over the VPN server location unless you have already selected it from the Panda Dome options ad explained in the steps above.
