When I start my computer at work everyday, I need to open many work related applications – these are the exact same programs that I launch in the same order regularly. I have been using a batch script to launch everything automatically since forever. If you also have to go through the same rigmarole everyday then you can a better approach is to use Instant File Opener. It is a small utility for Windows computers that helps launch multiple programs, open many files and websites instantly at the click of a button.
Instant File Opener works with lists and you can make as many lists as you want. Each list can contain many items – files, folders, programs or websites. You can right-click anywhere in the list to add new items or edit existing items. You can also choose to add new items by clicking on the green plus icon in the toolbar or by selecting the “List” item from the menubar.
If you want to launch added websites in different tabs of the same web browser’s window, then you can add more than one websites under the same item. All of these websites listed under the same item will be launched in the separate tabs of your web browser.
Once you have added all the items to the list, you can click on the small play button in the toolbar to launch them all. All the items are launched in the same order as they were added to the list but you can move them up or down to change their execution order. By default, Instant File Opener launches all the added websites using Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can change the web browser used for launching these websites from Instant File Opener settings.

Hi Trish
For those of us that have multiple monitors. Can you tell Instant File Opener to open a program to a specific monitor?
It does not seem to have any options for selecting a particular monitor.
