Summer is here and the school is out. Families are planning vacations but kids need more than a new place to occupy their young and curious minds. Good news is that largest game distributors are now making some of the games available for free and kids are going to love it. Steam is giving away “Kao the Kangaroo Round 2” game this weekend.
The game was first released in 2003 for the Sony PlayStation consoles. But now it is available for the Windows PC gamers through Steam. Being an older game, it does not have any special system requirements. In fact, it will run flawlessly even on the very old computers. All it needs is a 600MHz CPU with 128MB RAM Windows computer. This sort of computers were available before 2005. However, it needs Windows 7 as the minimal operating system and since Windows 7 won’t run on a 128MB RAM PC, you will need a minimal 1GB RAM with at least 1.5GHz processor.
“Kao the Kangaroo Round 2” is a sequel to the “Kao the Kangaroo” game that was released in 2001. The game franchise is about Kao – a young kangaroo living in a forest with his family. When a ruthless hunter kidnaps his family, he goes out to rescue them. In the round 2 of the series, the hunter comes back for revenge, capture Kao along with his friends and ships them away. But brave Kao escapes from the ship and now its upto him to save his kangaroo friends from the ship.
For the grown ups the storyline might look very simple, but kids will find it very interesting. The gameplay is filled with challenges and puzzles. You have take Kao the kangaroo bouncing his way through all kinds of obtacles and terrains. Kao meets goons and he has to fight, race and solve puzzles to clear the levels.
