When I bought an inkjet printer for the very first time, I wanted to see how many pages it actually prints with a new ink cartridge. I used a hand-held mechanical counter for this and turned out the printer gave more prints than it claimed. If you also have to use a counter, you don’t have to buy an actual mechanical counter for this because now many counter apps are available on the Google Play Store. For example, a very plain and easy-to-use app “A Counter” can be used to keep the count of anything you want.
A Counter app shows a simple counter screen with two buttons – plus and minus. The big plus button increments the counter by one and the smaller minus button decrements it. Underneath the counter is given a timer that can be started along with the counter. A combination of the counter and timer can be used to find out how many times a certain event occurs in a specified period of time. For example, you can find out how many push-ups your friends can do in one minute.
You can have multiple counters and customize them for your use. You can change the label of a counter and its basic operation. For example, you can change the counter appearance from analogic to digital. All these counters can be saved and later picked from the list in the app.
In the settings, you can pick which options are available for a counter – increment button, decrement button, reset button, vibration (it vibrates at every increment), background color, chronometer (timer), speaking counter (it announced the counter value at every 10th click) and you can also customize speaking counter interval (which is 10 by default).
A Counter is a very useful and productive counting app for versatile use. It comes with a timer making it easy for you to find the frequency of an event in a specified period of time.
