When it comes to cleaning the system of junk files and leftover entries, we always think of the popular software like CleanMaster or CCleaner. But there are some other cleaner programs that can do as good a job as the leading software. One of these cleaner programs is ClearProg that promises to erase the traces left behind on a Windows PC by a user’s activity.
ClearProg is a small application that can clean web browser history, browser cookies, URLs, list of opened files in Windows, history of multimedia files and discs, Microsoft Office usage and other things from your PC. It comes both in form of an installer setup and also as a portable application. In either case, it is less than 1 MB in size. It is amazing to see all that such a small program offers.
In its small window, you can select the items that you want to clear from the list. Further options are available for each of the items as you select them. For example, if you select Google Chrome from the list, you can choose whether you want to clean Cache, Cookies, History, Typed URLs, and download history.
It offers a preview feature using which we can check what will happen if we go ahead and clean the system using ClearProg. In the preview window, it runs a simulation and creates a report of what is going to be cleaned. You can use the preview feature if you are extra cautious about what items are going to be cleaned.
Once you click on the Clear button, there is no going back. There is no undo feature as it does not backup any deleted entries. However there is an option to send the deleted files to the Recycle Bin instead of removing them straight from the storage which leaves an option of restoring them later.
