Alexa is the virtual voice assistant developed by Amazon and it works using the advanced artificial intelligence. It is available in all the Amazon devices but can also be installed on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. No matter what the platform is, we invoke Alexa by calling out her name – “Alexa”.
When Alexa is listening, we can ask her to do many things. For example, we can ask “How is the weather in this city?” and it will tell you in the usual Alexa voice. In fact, Alexa uses a different voice depending on the location. It uses an American voice if you are located in the US and an Indian voice if you are located in India and so on.
When you ask something from Alexa, the voice history is recorded in form of the cards. In each of these cards, Alexa records what you asked and how it interpreted it. It also puts down the response from Alexa. These cards can be used by Alexa to quickly understand what you have been asking all along. But if you want to remove all of your activity then you can follow in this manner:
- Launch Alexa app on your phone, tap on the menu icon and then tap on the Activity.
- You will see a long list of activity history in form of cards. You have to tap on the downward more arrow to see all the options for a card. You will see voice interpretation and Alexa’s response.
- Tap on Remove card to delete that card from the Alexa history.
- Repeat the same steps for all the cards until none of them is left. You can leave some of these cards if you want.
So this is a very simple way to get rid of the stored Alexa activity and voice history from your Alexa app. We can do the same on the Android as well as iPhone apps.
