dktools for Windows : Useful Set of All Purpose Tools

Dirk Krauses tools (dktools) is a set of all purpose tools for Windows users. The set of tools come with a drawing tool for LaTeX, a file hash calculator, an image resizer, a desktop clock, a PDF creation tool and several more command line tools.

dktools can be installed easily on any Windows PC using the small installer that the developer offers. It places shortcuts to various programs in the Start menu from where we can launch them. It also installs full documentation for all the tools. The installer can also be set to run silently without any user interaction. The documentation explains everything about all the tools and how we can use them for productive tasks.

dktools comes with a very useful file hashes calculator. Using this tool is very easy. We can open a file inside this tool and it will quickly generate file hashes using various algorithms. It offers many different file hashes such as MD5, RIPEMD-160, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512.

The desktop clock that it offers remind of the desktop clock that was shipped with Microsoft Windows 3.1. It is an analog clock and can be used to set up alerts. When the alert time comes the clock turns into full-screen and displays the clock time.

It also comes with a LaTeX drawing program. Using this drawing program, we can create graphics for use in the LaTeX documents. These drawings can contain polylines, polygons, rectangular boxes, circles, ellipses, arcs, splines, dots, pins, text labels, and embedded bitmap images. We can also use the existing drawings as the library elements in new drawings.

dktools

dktools contains dozens of tools both GUI and CLI that are useful in many different fields such as graphics editing, web development, IT administration, files/directory management, text, user password, network, windows, printing, simple database management and more.
