Record Windows PC Screen with Fast Screen Recorder

Everyday millions of people all over the world watch videos on Youtube related to various entertainment, news, gaming, live streaming or how-to content. I myself have learned a few things after watching Youtube videos. For example, when I wanted to change the keyboard of my Lenovo laptop, I first watched its video on Youtube uploaded by someone.

If you also want to share your knowledge with the rest of the world, then you have to first record the how-to or tutorial style videos. For recording such helpful videos from your Windows desktop screen, you can use Fast Screen Recorder. It is able to record the entire screen or any selected area on your Windows desktop. We can save the captured video in AVI or MP4 format. Fast Screen Recorder can capture and encode the video using any codec installed on the system. This is why it is better to install K-Lite Mega Codec pack on your PC before using this software.

Fast Screen Recorder

After launching Fast Screen Recorder  from its desktop shortcut, we are presented with a small window that gives us the options to record video, record audio and take screenshots. For all of these actions, there are separate tabs given. For recording video, we can choose whether to record full-screen or custom area, whether to include webcam stream, which audio streams are to be recorded (microphone or speakers). We can also set a timer to automatically stop recording of the video. Finally, clicking on the big red REC button starts the recording.

Fast Screen Recorder is available for trial use only and it is not a free screen recorder. During the trial period, we can record only 2 minutes long video. After 2 minutes, it stops recording automatically. In the paid version, there are no such restrictions.
