DaramRenamer : Batch File Renaming for Windows

There are many reasons for using mass renaming tools. For example, these tools are useful when we want to rename our collection of files – such as collection of MP3 music files, collection of PDF files or a big folder containing all the JPEG pictures that you snapped at the last vacation.

For mass renaming of files or folders, we can use a tool like DaramRenamer. It is batch renaming tool for Windows. It is open-source and is available for Windows 7 or later versions of Windows. It also requires that you have installed Microsoft .NET 6 Desktop Runtime on your Windows PC. You can download and install Microsoft .NET 6 related files from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0.

The user interface of DaramRenamer is very time saving. We have to start by adding the files or folders that need renaming. After adding the files, we can change the way they are renamed. There are more than a dozen of different renaming options provided by this program.

We can change the target name manually. We can add file extensions, join text with the filename, replace part or full filename with another string, delete file name or part of the file name, add date to the filename, add indexing numbers to the filenames, change the case of the filename or the extension or both and more.

These options are available through two ways – through the main toolbar of the DaramRenamer window and through the right-click menu that appears when you right-click on any of the added files or folders. Using these renaming options and their combinations, we can define the file renaming rules. After this we can choose to start renaming process and see the progress.

DaramRenamer is a free, open-source, batch file renamer for Windows. It is available as a portable application and is a great way to rename a large number of files in the batch mode in a matter of seconds.
