GOG is giving away yet another game this weekend – Immortal Redneck. It is a first person shooter (FPS) action game with a backdrop of ancient Egypt. The locations of all the levels of this game are in Egypt. The story behind this game is also very interesting.
You play a tourist who visited Egypt to take a look at the ancient Egyptian architecture, the great pyramids of Giza, the sphinx and more. But something happens, you encounter an accident and pass out. When you wake up, it is dark, you are inside the pyramid and you are mummified. This is where the game begins – you have to remove the mummy wraps from yourself and find a way out of the pyramid.
But it is not easy to get out of those large pyramids in the middle of the night. Besides these pyramids are full of all kinds of monsters – big and small. Each level has a boss monster which is not easy to get rid of. You have to use all of your available resources, all the firepower to defeat these bosses and make your way slowly out of this nightmare.
Immortal Redneck combines the good old fashioned elements of FPS that could be seen in the legends like SiN, Blood 2, Quake 2, Unreal Tournament, and No One Lives Forever. The backdrop of ancient pyramids of Giza is also very mysterious and makes the game all the more interesting.
This game was first released in 2017 and can be played on any standard gaming PC. A typical PC with 4 GB RAM, 2 GHZ dual core processor and a decent graphics card is enough for this game. Of course, you will get much better performance with better gaming hardware such as Acer Nitro 5.
