Personal Blocklist for Chrome : Block Undesired Domains from Google Search Results

There are millions of websites and their number is going to increase even more as more internet users start their own websites. You can also get your own domain name (like TrishTech.com) in only US$10. The problem with so many domain names is that when you search for a keyword in Google search, you often get poor quality results and domains that you are not interested in. Thanks to Google engineers who have designed the Personal Blocklist extension for Chrome – now you can block undesired domains from Google search results so they will not appear again.

The Personal Blocklist extension is available for only the Google Chrome browser. When installed in your Google Chrome browser, it shows an extra link next to a domain name in the search results using which you can block that domain name. When you block a domain name this way, it will transmit to Google the patterns that you choose to block. When you choose to block or unblock a pattern, the extension will also transmit to Google the URL of the web page on which the blocked or unblocked search results are displayed. You agree that Google may freely use this information to improve our products and services.

As soon as you click on the block link for a domain name, all the search results pointing to that domain name would disappear immediately. Once you have opted to block a domain name (or host name), then it will never show up in search results again. But if you mistakenly block a domain name and later want to unblock it, then you can do so from the Personal Blocklist options. To unblock or edit a domain name, click on the Personal Blocklist icon next to the location bar and it would show a popup window where you can edit or remove domain names from the blocklist. You can also block the domain name of the currently open website in Chrome from this popup window.
