Internet Explorer 9 uses GPU rendering to provide accelerated graphics when you browse web sites. Although it gives rich web site browsing experience but on low end systems, it can make the system slower. You can save the GPU power at the expense of reduced graphics rendering in Internet Explorer 9 by disabling the GPU rendering and enabling the software rendering. This is how :
- Run Internet Explorer.
- From the top-right corner, click on the settings icon and then choose Internet Options as shown,
- In the Internet Options window, choose the Advanced tab.
- Uncheck the checkbox labeled Use software rednering instead of GPU rendering as shown,
- Click OK to save the settings.
