Internet Explorer 9 no longer plays any sounds when you click on a link or when a new page is loaded, like its older versions used to play. In Internet Explorer the playing of system sounds has been disabled by default. If you like to listen to those clicking sounds as you browse through different web sites on the Internet, then you can enable them easily. Here is how :
- Run Internet Explorer.
- From the top-right corner, click on the gear-like settings icon and then choose Internet Options as shown,
- In the Internet Options window, choose the Advanced tab.
- Check the checkbox labeled Play system sounds as shown,
- Click OK to save the settings.
