Most of the modern browsers support the location aware browsing. Any web site can request your geographical location (physical location) and display content accordingly. For example a restaurant can request your geographical location and display the branch nearest to you. If you do not want the Internet Explorer browser to send this information to any web site, then you can turn it off easily. Here is how :
- Click on the gears like toolbar icon in the top-right corner of the Internet Explorer 9. Select Internet Options from the popup menu.
- In the Internet Options window, select the Privacy tab.
- Check the checkbox labeled Never allow web sites to request your physical location as shown.
- Click OK to save the settings.
