Google Chrome has become one of the most popular web browsers. It now has a large collection of extensions, designed both by Google and third parties. You can install these extensions by visiting the Google Chrome webstore which also has many apps and themes in addition to extensions. For installing an app, you have to sign in to your Google account, while an extension can be installed without signing in. You can just visit the Google Chrome webstore, find an extension that appeals to you and install it in your Chrome browser. After you are done testing an extension and deciding that you do not like it, you would like to uninstall it. You can uninstall an extension from Google Chrome using these simple steps :
- Start Google Chrome web browser.
- Click on the settings icon on the top-right corner of the Chrome window, and select Tools → Extensions from the menu that appears. Alternatively, you can just type chrome://extensions/ in the omni bar (address bar) of the browser.
- This would open the extensions page where you can see a list of all the extensions installed in your Chrome browser, along with the options to enable, disable and uninstall them. To uninstall an extension displayed in the list, click on the recycle bin icon shown next to it, as shown in the following picture.
- Chrome would show a confirmation box where you can click on the Remove button to remove/uninstall that extension. You can uninstall all unwanted extensions this way.
