Winaero Tweaker is an all-in-one tweaking software for all the versions of Windows starting from Windows 7 to the latest version of Windows 10. This software reminds of the TuneUp Utilities from a decade ago that allowed you to customize various things in Windows and tweak many settings to improve performance. Winaero Tweaker packs so many different tweaks in one software that you can basically tweak everything in your Windows system. Since the software is designed to work with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, it may show or hide some tweaks based on the operating system version that you are using.
Winaero Tweaker has a very easy to follow interface. When you launch it, it displays some of the basic system information about your computer. It shows the Windows version, the amount of physical memory (RAM) installed, processor clock frequency, primary display resolution, etc.
You can choose a section or category from the left side tree-view and it will display all the options and tweaks available for that category on the right side. There are so many categories that you can choose from. For example, you can choose from Appearance, Boot and Logon, Desktop and Taskbar, Content Menu, File Explorer, User Accounts, Privacy, Network, Pinning Options and more.
You can change the settings and apply tweaks from the right side pane. Each of the settings or tweaks comes with a URL that can be used to find more information about what that tweak actually does in your Windows PC. Some of these changes are applied instantly and you can see the effect readily. But some of the tweaks need your Windows computer to be restarted. And if you make some changes that you do not like there is always the Reset to Defaults button that can be used to switch back to the default settings.
