Ever since Netflix surfaces and became popular, people all over the world have been getting rid of the old fashioned cable TV connections. And now Netflix is something that has become a necessity in every household. But like any other entertainment medium, you have be careful when having a Netflix account configured in your devices. When smaller kids are around, you should switch to the Kids mode/profile in Netflix so that they can enjoy watching kids friendly shows and movies. This also prevents your kids from being exposed to the inappropriate content.
Here is how you can quickly switch to the Kids profile in your Netflix account in the web browser:
- Login to your Netflix account in your web browser and click on the small profile picture in the top-right corner of your web browser window.
- From the menu that pops out, select the Kids profile.
- You will now see the Netflix look and content change to show the kids friendly TV shows and movies. Your kids can now use Netflix as usual or you can play one of the shows for them as you like.
Once your kids have enjoyed watching their favorite shows on Netflix, and you want to watch the horror movies and shows, you can exit the Kids profile and choose your own profile. In order to do so, you can click on the Exit Kids button in the top-right corner. This will bring up another screen asking you to choose another user profile (other than the kids profile). You can choose your user profile from here to switch back to your normal Netflix mode.
Netflix profiles is an easy way to manage what type of content is accessed by your family members. You can create many profiles including one for the small kids so that they do not accidentally watch any of the grown up movies.
