Recently I bough a number of blank DVDs (pack of 25) only to find out that I could not properly burn the data on them. When I took the remaining DVDs back to the store, the salesperson demonstrated successfully data burning on the same exact DVDs. When I asked them why it failed on my computer, they told me that they are using Cyberlink Power2Go software for writing the data.
Cyberlink Power2Go is an all-in-one software when it comes to writing data to the optical media of many different types. Obviously, it will work better when you are using a high-quality optical disk drive like from LiteOn, LG, Transcend, HP or Asus. Depending on the optical disk drive type, Power2Go will support different types of optical disks like CD, DVD, and Blu-ray.
Power2Go starts with a very nice looking and easy-to-use interface from where you can select which type of disk you want to create – data disk, music disk, video disk, whether you want to clone an existing disk etc. For each of the options, you can select a disk type like DVD, CD or Blu-ray. You can then drag-n-drop the data files on the Power2Go window, insert a blank optical media in your optical disk writer and continue to burn the data on the disk.
Apart from the simple data burning, you can also add various DVD elements, such as chapters or menus. In addition to the strong authoring area, Power2Go also provides a lush support of various storage media. So you can fill not only CDs and DVDs but also Blu-ray discs. On request, you can also provide files with 256-bit encryption. It uses a very strong AES cipher to encrypt your files.
Power2Go is available as 15-day trial software, but after 15 days it continues to work with all the essential features. Only the premium features won’t work after 15 days and you will require a license key.
