“World of Warships” is a free action game that allows you to play out hundreds of historic battles using some of the world war 1 and world war 2 era battleships. You play the role of the captain of a battleship, your goal is to conquer the seven seas and disable other ships. It is part of the “World of” chain, which has already become very popular through two other games – “World of Tanks” and “World of Warplanes”.
World of Warships comes with large maps and over 200 historic battle ships. Depending on the ship type, you get more or less fire power. All of these ships are before the 1945 times and are mostly from World War 1 and World War 2 era. As the captain in “World of Warships” you can choose one of many battleships at the beginning. Once you have done that, you can equip it with sufficient weapons and ammunition.
Each war vessel has four characteristics: firepower, speed, armor and life. Only by combining these features wisely can you achieve maximum effectiveness for your warship. Depending on the ship you pick, you get to use different strategies. For example, destroyers can sneak in behind a ship and give a surprise attack. Aircraft carries can fill the sky with small fighter planes to attack a large number of enemy ships and so on.
