How to Toggle Bookmarks Bar in Chrome Browser

Chrome web browser is certainly the best web browser for Windows users. There is Mozilla Firefox too, but its main focus is on the security and the privacy of the users rather than the overall performance of the browser. Chrome has become so popular that many of the past rivals such as Opera and Microsoft Edge have chosen to adopt its rendering engine. The new Edge web browser is now much better in performance and has started to gain more users.

In the Chrome web browser, you can add your favorite webpages to the bookmarks bar so that you can easily access them later on. But in order to access these bookmarked pages, you have to make the bookmarks bar visible in the Chrome browser. Here is how you can easily toggle the bookmarks bar on or off:

  1. Launch Chrome web browser and enter chrome://settings/appearance in the address bar.
  2. You will see all the options related to Chrome’s appearance. From here click on Show bookmarks bar to toggle the bookmarks bar on or off.Chrome Show Bookmarks Bar

However, if you do not want to go through these steps and want a quicker method, then you can simply right-click somewhere in the Chrome toolbar and select Show bookmarks toolbar from the right-click context menu. But if you have disabled displaying of the apps shortcuts in the Chrome toolbar, then it will be very difficult to bring up this menu. In that case you will have to use the first method explained above.

After enabling the bookmarks bar in your Chrome web browser, you would like to populate it with your favorite pages. You can do this easily by visiting your favorite sites and then using the hotkey Ctrl+D. You can also click on the small star that appears in the address bar to the right in order to bookmark that web page.
