Epic Games Store is giving away another game from the popular game series “Assassin’s Creed” this week. The game being given away this week is Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which is the ninth game of the series. This game was released in 2015 and has been a very successful game of this series.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate takes you back to the London of the mid 1800s in the heart of the industrial revolution. Queen Victoria is on the throne of England and the London underground is rife with organized crime. The game is based on some actual events that unfolded during the Victorian times such as the brutal series of murders by someone known only as Jack the Ripper. However, the rest of the game is based on fictional explanation of these gruesome crimes.
The game has open-world design and lets you roam the streets of Victorian London freely which is a pleasant activity in itself. You can explore the city using some special tools at hand – through a rope or zip-line between buildings. During your travel through the city, you might encounter some of the well known people of the era such as famous author Charles Dickens, famed naturalist Charles Darwin and even Her Majesty the Queen of England.
In the game you can play either as Jacob or as Frye. Jacob is reckless brawler who can be spotted from a distance, while Frye is intelligent and proceeds using stealth. Because of their different nature and capabilities, you have to use different approach when playing this game.
