Whenever we get a new internet connection, we connect to a new WiFi hotspot, or we try our mobile data connection in a new place, we want to know how fast the internet is working. There are many tools for checking your internet speed. There is world popular Speedtest by Ookla that can both check your internet speed and also compare your internet speed with that of others using some other internet service provider. Not to mention that Speedtest by Ookla is also customizable as you can choose a server for testing the speeds.

For a few years, Netflix has also started providing an internet speed test of their own called “Fast”. They also have apps for Android and iOS. This makes Fast perhaps the most convenient test in the world.

Compared to Ookla and Fast.com, it does not let you pick a server for testing the speed. Google partners with M-Labs for running the test. This test can be used for checking internet speeds up to 700 Mbps. If your internet is faster than 700 Mbps then it might show wrong results.
