Free Countdown Timer is a timer application for Windows computers. It is free and offers many features that you would find in professional countdown timer devices. It is available in portable version which can be used from a portable hard drive without any need to install anything.
Free Countdown Timer has a very minimal user interface with a toolbar containing all the controls and a list containing all the timers. From the toolbar, we can add a new timer, edit a timer, copy/paste a timer or delete a timer. It also offers a “night mode” button using which we can switch back and forth between the dark and light themes.
In order to add a new timer, all we have to do is click on the “Add” button on the toolbar. It displays a new timer interface. From here, we can choose the type of timer (countdown or count until a date/time). For the countdown timer, we have to specify the hours, minutes or seconds for which the timer will run. And for the count until timer, we have to choose a date and time until which the timer is run.
For all types of timer, we can choose to display a message on the computer screen, play a sound file, change the volume to a certain level, keep repeating the sound, allow snooze feature, wake up the computer from sleep and turn on the monitor power etc.
In the options for Free Countdown Timer, we can choose for how many seconds the snooze feature will apply, for how much time the alarm sound will be played, run at Windows startup and more.
Free Countdown Timer is an all purpose timer for Windows PC. It can be used to countdown time for any small events like cooking rice to large occasions such as wedding anniversaries.
