We have all watched and enjoyed many many prison break movies such as Escape from Alcatraz (1979) in which Clint Eastwood has played the role of the escaped prisoner. More recent movies that were a big box office hit include Escape Plan series starring Sylvestor Stallone.
And now there is a great prison escape game available on Epic Games store for free – The Escapists. This game is part of the weekly giveaway from Epic Games store. In this game, you play the role of a prisoner who is has once again become the inhabitant of the big prison.
Once inside the prison, you have to find a way out. You have to devise a plan to escape without much conflict with the authorities. You have to think and plan carefully, or you will be caught. Are you going to escape from the roof, or dig a tunnel out? Are you going to do it alone or are you going to involve other prisoners desirous of escaping?
The overall game is very amusing. But the prison escape becomes a challenge as the prison guards keep a watch on you all the time. You have to do everything under their watch without getting noticed. Once you manage to escape from one prison, it will take you the next more challenging prison located elsewhere in the world where you can once again devise another plan to escape.
The game is designed in the old fashioned Super Mario style graphics. You have to use your keyboard to move the characters around on your screen. You can craft new items and hide them for later use. You can also engage with other characters using the same controls.
