GOG is giving away yet another game and this time it is a popular action adventure game called “Flashback”. This classic game was released 30 years ago in 1992. This game has a story-line that looks identical to the popular Arnold Schwarzenegger movie “Total Recall” that was released in 1990.
In this game, you wake up on the Titan, the colonized moon of the planet Saturn. This is year 2142 and you are puzzled as to how you arrived on this moon. You soon realize that you are captive of some people who have a very nefarious plan for the whole planet Earth. Your mission is to escape the Titan, evade your kidnappers, reach the planet Earth and foil their plan.
Flashback released by GOG is obviously enhanced and upgraded to work on modern Windows platforms. It has been given new graphics, new high quality sound and music so that you can enjoy it on your large screen computer. The GOG version of Flashback actually contains both the original untouched version and the enhanced high resolution images version of the game (Modern version). You can choose to play any of these versions after launching the game and picking a user profile. The modern version of the game also includes two never-seen-before Director’s cut exclusive cut-scenes.
Game now contains dedicated jukebox using which we can listen to the game’s sound track. We can also re-play the completed levels of the game anytime we want without affecting the game’s progress. As we progress in the game, you are going to unlock the street art gallery.
The basic requirements for installing and playing Flashback is Windows 7 and above running with at least 1 GB of RAM. Your computer should have any basic CPU clocked at 2 GHz.
