“Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse” is the new game being given away this week on GOG. It is an action, adventure, platformer game. In this game you play a female protagonist who is half human and half genie. She can do belly dance and she can attack the enemies by whipping them with her long hair.
Being a genie, Shantae naturally had some magical powers. But because of a curse, she can no longer use her magical gifts. In order to life the curse from her place Sequin Land, she needs help from a pirate Risky Boots. When she joins hands with Risky Boots, she is made a pirate herself.
As she has become a pirate, she obtains the powers available to pirates only. She also gets some new weapons that only pirates carry. With these newly acquired powers, she can advance through the game, eliminate the enemies, walk through the challenges, fight with the monsters and in the end face many big monster bosses. If she goes through all this, there is a hope that she is going to get her magic back in the end.
The game graphics have been upgraded and are very high-resolution. The game has a very engaging background sound track. There are multiple endings to each of the game levels so that you can keep playing the game and still feel like playing it for the very first time.
The game works on Windows 7 and newer versions. It does not require very high end graphics processor. We can run this game on any standard Windows PC purchased in last 7-8 years.
