How to Change Menu Language for VLC Media Player

VideoLAN VLC Media Player is one of the most popular media player in the world. One of the main reasons why people love this media player is its ability to play almost anything under the Sun. If there is a video or audio file, VLC media player is definitely going to play it. This is users of all the operating systems readily accepted this media player.

Before VLC media player, people had to install tons of media codecs and codec packs and even then some videos showed some problems. People were searching online for downloading all the different codecs. But VLC media players relieves us from this headache once and for all.

If you download VLC media player from any internet download site or from its official site, chances are that it will the using the English language as the default user interface language. If you prefer some other language then you can change the menu interface language easily using the following steps:

There are a few things that should be mentioned when making these changes. Firstly, these language settings affect only the menubar of VLC media player. There are no other changes anywhere in the user interface. Because most of the users only use the menubar to access the various functions of the VLC media player, it makes sense to change the language only for the menubar.

If you are unsure which language to select then you can simply select Auto. This will make VLC media player use the same language as user interface of the operating system (if possible).
