These days all the operating systems and the apps offer to switch back and forth between various color modes or color themes. Windows itself offers two color modes – light mode and the dark mode. All the web browsers are now offering many different color modes including light and dark modes. The antivirus software is not any different and now you can change the color themes on your favorite ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Windows.
Like all the other applications it allows the user to choose either a light color mode or a dark color mode. The dark mode is preferred if you are working in a darker environment or in dim lights at night time. The dark mode reduces the amount of light being emitted from your computer screen and can also be useful when you are trying to reduce strain on your eyes.
Here is how you can enable the dark mode for ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Windows:
- Double-click on the ESET NOD32 Antivirus shortcut on your desktop.
- In the user interface of NOD32 Antivirus, you will find a circle (half black and half white) near the top-right corner of the window. Click on this icon and choose Dark Mode. This will make it reload the user interface and the window will reappear with the dark mode in a few seconds.
- Similarly, you can choose to use the Light mode of desired. By default, it uses the same color mode/theme as the operating system and the option Same as the system color is selected.
Using the light mode or the dark mode is not going to change the way this great antivirus product protects your system against all kinds of malware. This is just a user’s own preference and might make the appearance of the NOD32 antivirus window a little bit easier on the eyes.
