PiCode is a minimal batch image conversion software for Windows. It can convert images from many different image formats such as PNG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, and WEBP etc. In addition to image file format conversion, it can also add a few effects or edit the image before the final conversion.
PiCode has a user interface designed to keep things easy for the users. We start by adding all the images that we have to convert to other file formats. As soon as we add an image to the list, it displays all the information related to the images. For example, it shows the image filename, image format, image file size, source folder, edit effects and target image file format.
If you want to set a different target image file format, you have to first select that image from the list and then choose a target file format from the drop-down list labeled “Convert to File”. The possible target image file can have many different formats such as PNG, JPEG, ICO, BMP, TIFF, TGA, WebP, AVIF etc. Depending on the image file format, we can change the related options such as compression levels.
In a similar way, we can edit the images a little. PiCode offers three types of editing actions such as resize, flip and rotate the images. These editing actions are displayed in the list for all the images for which they were selected. After choosing a file format and adding edits, we can finally proceed to conversion by clicking on the “Convert” button.
The images are converted and saved into a folder selected by the user. We can choose to save the images into the same folder where the original images are kept. It uses a high quality conversion library for producing very hight quality images.
