Vivaldi Mail is a new email client that comes built inside the Vivaldi web browser. It supports all the email servers and can be configured to use either POP3 or IMAP protocols to access the mail servers. As far as popular email services such as Gmail are concerned, it is fairly easy to add their accounts to Vivaldi Mail. Even for the custom mail servers, it is not too difficult to add your email accounts to Vivaldi Mail. We have written about how to add your Gmail account to Vivaldi Mail. Email accounts of all other providers can also be similarly added to Vivaldi.
If you have previously added your email accounts to Vivaldi Mail and now you want to remove them, then there is a very easy way:
- Launch Vivaldi browser and click on the Vivaldi icon near the top-left corner. Select Settings from the menu that appears. Alternatively, you can also use the hotkey Ctrl+F12 to open Vivaldi settings.
- In the settings window select Mail category from the left side.
- You will see a list of all the added email accounts here. Select the email account that you want to remove from Vivaldi Mail and then click on the minus sign (-) under the list of the email accounts.
- You will see a confirmation window asking you if you really want to delete the selected email account from Vivaldi Mail. You have option to delete the downloaded messages from the local disk. Click on the Delete button to finally remove the selected account from Vivaldi Mail.
It will take a few seconds or minutes depending upon how much data that account has on the local hard drive before the selected accounts are finally removed. If you had decided not to delete the stored messages, then the process is faster and almost instant.
