Google has come up with a new extension for Chrome browser called Save to Drive. This extension allows you to save just about any file to your Google Drive account. You can save not only offline by online files directly to your Google Drive account. Using this extension, you can save pictures on a webpage, entire webpage, captured screenshot of a webpage etc. to your Google Drive storage.

Google Chrome has a security feature that does not allow you to run any outdated plugins inside it. Usually this feature enhances your browser security and keeps you safer on the internet. But sometimes when you really have to use a plugin that has not been updated for a while, it can be a nuisance. Luckily, you can give a special command to run Chrome in order to deactivate this feature temporarily.

Unlike the website and email addresses, the telephone numbers are not clickable. How much easier your life would be if these telephone numbers were clickable, so that you could click on them and automatically dial them in an application like Skype or Netmeeting. Thanks to Telify addon for Firefox, this is now possible. Telify recognizes phone numbers on web pages and in email messages and converts them to clickable links.

Web browser developers are giving options of disable tracking in these sites. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer had already included options for a do-not-track feature. Now the new version of Google Chrome has also come up a do-not-track feature by enabling which you tell websites that you do not want to be tracked. However websites are free to honor or ignore this request. Most of the sites honor this setting in a user’s web browser.

When you search for something on Google Search, it presents you with a search results page where all the results are listed. If you click on any of the search results, it redirects first to Google and then to the intended webpage. Google does this to track your browsing behavior and tracks your clicks. But if you do not want to be tracked by Google in this way, then you can use a Firefox add-on that would change all the links on the search results page to actual webpage links.

When you download files using Mozilla Firefox and all the downloads are finished, Mozilla Firefox still continues to show the download manager window which can be very annoying if you download small files very often and have to close the download manager window over and over again. Fortunately, Firefox allows you to set the download manager window to close automatically as soon as all of your downloads are completed.
